hiBar is a collaborative platform where users record, source, vote on and explore historical facts and current events on a shared timeline. By creating an account or using hibarhistory.com you accept these terms.
You must provide accurate registration information and keep your credentials safe. You are responsible for activity on your account. Creating an account is free; an active license is required to use the application.
The individual license costs €99/year and renews automatically. New users get a 14-day free trial with full access.
You can cancel at any time, or pause your subscription: pausing keeps your license active until the end of the paid year, and it simply does not renew for the following year.
Group packs (5 seats from €490/year, 10 seats, and the student pack 30+1) are delivered as 14-character license codes managed by the group owner. Prices include applicable VAT unless stated otherwise.
You keep ownership of what you create. By publishing to the shared record you grant hiBar and its users a worldwide, non-exclusive license to display, translate and build upon your published contributions inside the platform — that is what makes a shared, correctable record possible.
Publishing makes you the signer of a node: your name stands behind it, and community votes determine the visibility of each annotation. Scores, dividends and tiers are platform mechanics, not financial instruments, and carry no monetary value outside hiBar.
Do not use hiBar to spread deliberate misinformation, harass others, infringe copyright, or attack the service. Deliberately publishing fabricated events or manipulating votes may lead to content removal and account suspension.
The shared record is community-curated: scores reflect the community's confidence, not an official verdict. The service is provided "as is"; we work hard on availability and accuracy but do not guarantee either. Our liability is limited to the amount you paid for your license in the preceding 12 months, to the extent permitted by law.
